A hot shot attorney with a dirty past is forced to return to the underbelly of society to prove his innocence.
Screenplay won first place in the Thriller category with Fade In Magazine. It has also made finals in several other contests.
Clean Kills and Other Trophies is written in the vein of classics such as ‘The Fugitive’ and the ‘Michael Clayton.’
The story centers on Ellison Beck, who while young, did time for embezzlement. Once the conviction was overturned and he was cleared, he became an attorney known for his unassailable ethics.
When a mysterious man breaks into his office, embezzles all of his firm’s assets and then murders his firm’s Partner, the cops think that Ellison’s their man. Arrested again, he finds himself in the same scenario, only this time with rejected clients and crooked jail guards who want him dead.
However, on his way to an Arraignment, a freak multi-car accident gives Ellison the opportunity to escape and launch his own investigation to clear his name.
Unfortunately, what he discovers, further nails his own coffin.
